Join the Dolby Vision technology development team. A successful candidate will have an opportunity to create, improve and drive the development of the video technologies offered in various software form factors by Dolby Laboratories in the consumer devices (TV’s, Smartphones, Tablets etc.) and the Professional Software used by the most influential technology companies in the world. 

The role is part of the engineering team in Wroclaw, Poland, and provides opportunity to connect with other Dolby engineering and business entities in the USA and Germany. 

  

Responsibilities: 

  • Drive the Dolby Vision Technology development.

  • Ensure high quality Imaging Platform Components.

  • Conduct early Dolby Vision Technology project scoping and requirements identification.

  • Define test strategy and plan tests for Imaging Platform Components releases.

  • Design and implement tests for Imaging Platform Components.

  • Design, set up, configure and maintain Imaging labs and test environments.

  • Automate tests in Python/py.test by utilizing and adapting existing test automation tools.

  • Anticipate and mitigate Imaging Platform Components project issues.

  • Work closely within the development team and with stakeholders to ensure the right thing is built.

 

Key Requirements: 

  • Proven experience working with Video Codecs.

  • Proven experience with Video multimedia systems.

  • Willingness to build deep expertise in the Video and the Dolby Vision domain.

  • Experience of working in various software environments like Windows, Unix, Linux, etc. 

  • Positive attitude and willingness to solve challenging problems.

  • Ability to achieve results, meet deadlines, and adjust to quickly changing priorities in a fast-paced software development environment.

  • Excellent oral and written communication, time management and organizational skills, and a thorough approach to problem solving.

 

Nice to have: 

  • Professional programming experience in scripting languages such as Python and/or Bash. 

  • Experience in test automation in py.test.

  • Knowledge of Broadcast, OTT, Live, VOD systems and solutions.
