In this hands-on role, you will manage Dolby’s global mobility program, which includes immigration and relocation for U.S. domestic and global hires, country transfers, and international assignments. You will also oversee Dolby’s temporary and permanent remote work programs. You will partner closely with external partner companies to drive a positive employee experience and deliver great customer service.

 

What you’ll do

 

  • Lead Dolby’s global mobility program, taking a strategic view on how to leverage mobility in cost-effective means to drive business results.
  • Problem solve complex cases, which may include M&A activities, supporting office expansions and consolidations, assisting with emerging market locations, and developing rotational programs.
  • Analyze temporary and permanent remote work requests and align decisions with Dolby’s location strategy.
  • Drive mobility cases through their complete life-cycle, acting as the primary point of contact to employees, managers, internal partners, and external providers.
  • Proactively communicate and advise stakeholders on immigration requirements, regulatory updates, processes, and timelines (e.g., Recruiting, hiring managers, People Business Partners, Cinema leaders) while leveraging technology and providing excellent customer service.
  • Advise and educate global People Business Partners on global mobility matters, including country-specific challenges, business travelers, and immigration issues while guiding Payroll, Stock and Finance teams on expatriate-related compliance reporting.
  • Assess new assignments and repatriation with People Business Partners and line managers and recommend cost-effective alternatives.
  • Develop cost projections for new assignments, relocations, and transfers.
  • Measure program performance, spending, and employee satisfaction through dashboards and reports while continuously improving processes using AI to drive operational efficiencies and enhance employees’ experience through their mobility journeys.
  • Write and edit mobility processes, policies, and templates.
  • Track immigration and mobility case status and related employment data accurately and efficiently.
  • Direct vendors and other suppliers to ensure appropriate service levels are met in support of global mobility goals. Conduct RFPs and assess new vendors as needed.
  • Anticipate future mobility challenges by benchmarking, networking, and staying abreast of US and international immigration and employment laws.

 

You’ll have experience with a lot of these

 

  • At least seven years of HR and global mobility experience with multinational companies, and strong working knowledge of global and US immigration laws and best practices and experience with these laws. Also must have prior experience with relocation, tax and remote work.
  • Strong communication skills (both verbal and written) collaborating effectively with a global team, influencing stakeholders, and building trusting partnerships.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of working on own initiative with limited supervision.
  • Helpfulness, and the ability to go above and beyond to deliver a great customer experience.
  • Resourceful, with the ability to work as a self-starter in a fast-paced, flexible environment.
  • Managing vendors to meet expected service levels, preferably with prior RFP experience.
  • Ability to plan and manage projects and complex cases that span multiple weeks/months while identifying potential risks and analyzing problems.
  • Flexible hours to accommodate international meetings and ability to work from the Atlanta office at least twice a week.

The Atlanta Area base salary range for this full-time position is $119,700 - 146,200, which can vary if outside this location, plus bonus, benefits, and some roles may also include equity. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, competencies, experience, market demands, internal parity, and relevant education or training.
