As a People (HR) Process Improvement Intern, you will drive a review of our global processes that impact employee satisfaction. Your success will be achieved through streamlined processes and data-driven insights that inform our People Operations team strategy. Your ideas and commitment to the employee experience will also make an impact on our organizational culture.

What you’ll do

  • Assess and analyze global business processes within the People Operations function to identify areas for improvement
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance process efficiency and effectiveness
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and understand business needs
  • Utilize data analysis and process mapping techniques to identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for simplification, automation, artificial intelligence, and efficiency while ensuring a fantastic employee experience

Required Skills

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Demonstrated analytical ability
  • Exceptional organization and accuracy skills
  • Knowledge of process mapping and data analysis tools (e.g., Visio, Excel, etc.)
  • Knowledge of process improvement methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, Kaizen, etc.)
  • Collaborative mindset with a focus on teamwork, transparency, and open communication
  • Ability to meet with stakeholders in all global regions at times that will likely fall outside of standard working hours
    • Dolby is in over 20 countries across the Americas, Europe, Middle East, and Asia Pacific
  • Working towards a Master’s degree in HR Management, Operations Management, Business Administration, Organizational Design, or similar

ELIGIBILITY

Working towards a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in HR Management, Operations Management, Business Administration, Organizational Design, or related field; recent grads who are within 6 months of graduation are also eligible to apply. Must be available to work full-time Monday – Friday for 3 months between May/June 2025 – December 2025.

 

Start dates for the internship are as follows: (*note* this date is not flexible)

  • Monday, May 19, 2025
  • Monday, June 2, 2025
  • Monday, June 16, 2025

 

 

The San Francisco/Bay Area base hourly range for this internship position is $26-36/hr and can vary if outside of this location. Our hourly ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific hourly range and perks and benefits for your location during the hiring process.
