Your Opportunity

We are seeking a senior, strategic leader to establish and lead Dolby’s Technology Value Realization Office (VRO) - a critical capability responsible for ensuring that enterprise-wide technology investments deliver clear, measurable, and sustained business value.

This role plays a central part in defining how technology investments are evaluated, governed, funded, prioritized, and measured across Dolby. Working in close partnership with the CIO, IT Leadership Team, Finance, and business leaders, the Value Realization Leader ensures that technology initiatives are grounded in outcomes, aligned to Dolby’s priorities, and held accountable for results - not just delivery.

This role will create transparency into where dollars are invested, what value is expected and delivered, and how technology initiatives support Dolby’s strategic objectives. The leader will establish a single source of truth for investment value, benefits realization, ROI, and performance metrics across all initiatives.

Our Ideal Candidate

This is a critical leadership position for a strategic thinker with a passion for turning technology transformation into measurable, business‑relevant results and for embedding value realization as a core enterprise capability.

The ideal candidate understands how technology strategy, service portfolios, and investment decisions come together to drive business outcomes. You are comfortable navigating ambiguity, influencing senior leaders, and balancing competing priorities across the enterprise.

You bring strong business and financial acumen, are adept at translating strategy into actionable roadmaps, and can establish lightweight but effective governance that enables, not slows, decision making. You are viewed as a trusted advisor who helps leaders make informed trade-offs across initiatives, services, and spend.

Your Responsibilities

Reporting to the CIO, your responsibilities will be:

Value Leadership

  • Define, operationalize, and lead a comprehensive Technology Value Realization discipline, across Dolby, extending beyond traditional IT project or program metrics.
  • Shift the broader organization from activity‑based reporting (projects, milestones, spend) to outcomes‑based accountability (value, benefits, ROI, KPIs).
  • Coach and enable leaders and teams to think in terms of business outcomes, value ownership, and accountability.

Portfolio and Value Governance

  • Design and implement lightweight, effective governance models that align technology and transformation spend with Dolby’s strategy
  • Define and operate value gates across the full investment lifecycle (intake, approval, funding, delivery, and benefits realization).
  • Balance run‑the‑business, innovation, and transformation investments using a consistent value lens.

Business Case and Financial Discipline

  • Standardize how value is defined, quantified, validated, tracked, and reported across enterprise-wide technology initiatives.
  • Lead lightweight but rigorous business case development, including value identification, assumptions, financial modeling, and risk assessment.
  • Own and maintain a single source of truth for enterprise-wide technology investment value, benefits realization, and performance metrics, in partnership with Finance.

Executive Engagement and Influence

  • Act as a trusted advisor to the CIO, CFO, IT Leadership Team, and business leaders on investment tradeoffs, funding decisions, and value realization risks.
  • Influence senior stakeholders without direct authority, using data‑driven insights and strong executive presence.
  • Challenge assumptions constructively and hold leaders accountable for committed value and benefits realization.

Your Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience with IT and Technology Strategy, Portfolio Management, Financial Management, or related leadership roles.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Technology, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated success managing IT strategy, service portfolios, and investment governance.
  • Strong understanding of technology financial management, demand management, and portfolio prioritization.
  • Proven ability to influence senior executives and lead cross-functional decision-making.
  • PMP, ITIL, or related certifications preferred
