Global Benefits oversees Dolby’s integrated approach to overall employee wellbeing which includes: core benefits (health & welfare, retirement, time-off & LOA, commute, business travel, additional fringe benefits), physical, mental, financial, and social wellbeing programs, as well as cross functional engagement to cultivate a healthy, inclusive, and connected work environment.

Reporting to the Director, Global Benefits the Sr. Benefits Analyst will support the day-to-day management of Dolby’s core benefit and wellbeing programs.  While the primary focus will be Dolby’s US programs, the Sr. Benefits Analyst will also support benefit programs and initiatives across the globe as needed.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

Analytics & Reporting

  • Analyze benefits data to assess the effectiveness of benefits programs and provide insights for decision-making.
  • Prepare and present ad-hoc reports on the utilization and cost of benefits programs.
  • Manage and update benefit and wellbeing program metrics and dashboards.
  • Prepare submissions for various benchmarking surveys.

 

Operations & Administration

  • Monitor on-going operations and conduct periodic audits to ensure data integrity across internal and external systems.
  • Partner with vendors and internal stakeholders to troubleshoot and resolve operational issues, including scope analysis, proposed resolution, and communication.
  • Identify and implement process changes for increased efficiency and improved employee experience.
  • Develop and update benefits policies and procedures to ensure clarity, compliance, and efficiency in benefits administration.
  • Utilize insights from employee support cases and industry best practices to develop new benefits portal content to drive increased employee self-service.
  • Perform recurring or ad-hoc administrative tasks required for the effective program operation.

 

Compliance & Risk Management

  • Prepare submissions for various federal, state, and local compliance reporting such as 5500s, Non-Discrimination Testing, ACA, San Francisco Health Care Security Ordinance, etc.
  • Coordinate the distribution of annual and ad-hoc required disclosures and communications.
  • Keep abreast of federal, state, and local legislative changes affecting benefits and recommend program & policy adjustments as necessary.

 

Leave of Absence Program Coordination

  • Partner with outsourced US leave of absence administrator and People Services team to promote an efficient and transparent employee experience.
  • Calculate bi-weekly leave of absence pay.

 

Communication, Education, and Engagement

  • Manage benefits and wellbeing communication calendar.
  • Assist in the development and deployment of regular and ad-hoc employee communications.
  • Plan and deploy benefit and wellbeing employee engagement events (e.g., webinars, trainings, etc.)

 

Employee Support

  • Provide training and documentation for People Operations staff as needed to enable resolution of Tier 0-2 employee support cases.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for escalated employee inquiries (Tier 2+)
  • Lead new employee benefits and wellbeing onboarding and orientation.
  • Provide consultation on leave of absence programs and process.

 

Program & Vendor Administrative Support

  • Vendor administration support including invoice administration, resolving service and operational issues, etc.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in benefits administration and analysis, with progressive responsibility.
  • Strong knowledge of US federal and state regulations governing employee benefit programs.  
  • Proficiency in benefits administration software and HRIS systems.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively communicate complex benefits information to employees.   
  • Experience with data analytics and reporting with solid proficiency in data analysis tools, including Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong problem-solving capabilities.
  • Periodic travel to San Francisco HQ.

 

Preferred Qualifications

 

  • Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) designation
  • ServiceNow case management and content management experience
  • High tech industry experience

The Atlanta Area base salary range for this full-time position is $89,800 - $120,100, which can vary if outside this location, plus bonus, benefits, and some roles may also include equity. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, competencies, experience, market demands, internal parity, and relevant education or training.
