Overview
 

Dolby is seeking a skilled Staff Engineer, Identity & Access Management to manage and deliver global services with a primary focus on Okta Administrator, preferably with previous CIAM implementation experience. In this role, you will manage and secure our IT systems, including identity and access management (IAM), email filtering, and privilege access management. You will work closely with other IT professionals and control to protect our systems from internal and external threats. Your responsibility ranges from managing the day-to-day operations, implementing best practices, and introducing enhancements to leverage functions and features released to provide the best experience to Dolby employees.

 

We are looking for a Staff Engineer to help drive our identity transformation. You bring excellent communication skills, along with a proactive, hands-on approach to ensure efficient and secure systems governance. Your ability to troubleshoot and solve problems effectively are critical to your success. You will report to the Director of Global Infrastructure, playing a key part in supporting and advancing our infrastructure.

 

Essential Job Functions:
 

  • OKTA You will be the main point of contact to manage the Okta platform, from setting up new integrations to ensuring optimal performance and security configurations. That would also include developing scripts using Python, PowerShell, or other scripting languages to automate routine tasks and optimize the performance of the Okta platform.
  • Identify and Access Management You are responsible for designing and implementing IAM solutions, conducting audits and assessments, managing workflows and processes, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.
  • Support infrastructure from technical design (in partnership with engineers) of what storage/computing goes on-premise and what goes in the cloud. That includes issuing and maintaining SSL certificates.
  • Communication technical liaison between operations teams, engineers, and architects, providing critical operational insight to upcoming implementations and strategies, including validation of ongoing solutions supportability.
  • Delivers support within the day-to-day deliveries by meeting corporate policy, corporate standards, and compliance requirements, including:
    • Service Request Fulfillment
    • Incident Management
    • Problem Management
    • Access Management
    • Change Management

Apply the appropriate technical knowledge, information, and expertise in making decisions and following best practices.

Encourage others to share information and viewpoints frankly and openly. Proactively share timely updates and information with relevant parties.

 

Requirements:
 

  • 7+ or more years of experience with Microsoft server administration and Microsoft Active Directory
  • Experience managing cloud and on-premises servers and certificates
  • 3+ years of experience with Okta, Azure AD, OAuth, OpenID Connect (OIDC), SAML, header-based authentication, LDAP, SCIM
  • Strong experience in working with identity providers (IdPs), Identity Access Management (IAM), and Security Assertion Markup Language (SAML)
  • Familiarity with various authentication protocols, such as OAuth2 and OpenID Connect
  • Experience in managing public key infrastructure (PKI solutions) and certificate authorities
  • Possess good scripting knowledge of Python, PowerShell, or other scripting languages
  • Strong ability to resolve business problems and process issues with the Microsoft\Office 365 technical platform
  • Ability to communicate at a highly effective level both in a written and oral manner
  • Strong knowledge and a proven track record in managing Microsoft Active Directory domains
  • Project management experience is an asset to this position
  • Strong written and verbal business communication skills
  • Proficiency in both spoken and written English required


Job Expectations:

  • Occasionally travel for business.
  • Occasionally work during odd hours to support project go-lives or coordinate with team members in other time zones for critical projects.
  • Performs duties as assigned by immediate supervisor

The Atlanta Area base salary range for this full-time position is $144,600 - $176,700, which can vary if outside this location, plus bonus, benefits, and some roles may also include equity. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, competencies, experience, market demands, internal parity, and relevant education or training.
