The Lead Business Systems Analyst (Lead BSA) is responsible for supporting and enhancing the Dolby’s Billing applications. Supporting and enhancing these systems involves creating and managing the functional deliverables of the software development life cycle (e.g. process flows, requirements, functional designs, etc.) and coordinating with various IT and business stakeholders to get system changes implemented. BSA should possess analytical and problem solving skills to effectively gather requirements, identify and qualify alternatives, design efficient solutions and coordinate with technical team to deploy changes to production.
In addition to working on new projects, this position will support existing applications by analyzing and prioritizing defects and enhancements for recurring releases.
Responsibilities:
- The ideal candidate is a technologist with a high proficiency in translating revenue operations problems into solutions by leveraging the capabilities of Zuora as well as other technologies in the ecosystem in which Zuora operates.
- Manage functional tasks and deliverables of the software development life cycle (SDLC) including: process definition and reengineering, high and detailed-level requirements gathering, fit/gap analysis, functional design, testing, training, reporting, support, and continuous improvement of business applications.
- Manage design and implementation of technical solutions based on Zuora APIs, data management and advanced configuration options
- Provide the technical expertise on leveraging the Zuora API, Workflows and execute technical integration best practices
- Review any technical work done by vendors in order to provide guidance, feedback and anticipate issues
- Work with Finance, Audit, and Business Operations team members to ensure proper application of all phases of the systems development life cycle (SDLC), and that appropriate standards are met
- Facilitate business process review meetings with subject matter experts to refine business processes to maximize business efficiency.
- Gather and define functional, usability, reliability, and performance requirements in partnership with users for the implementation and enhancement of software systems.
- Collaborate on several, concurrent projects, which could include requirements gathering, design, testing, coordinating new releases or documenting projects
- Partner with project stakeholders across the business and IT by analyzing all requirements to formulate business specifications and translate those into application functionality, deciding when to advocate and when to compromise to arrive at a mutually acceptable solution.
- Create high-level functional designs that are accurately documented and mapped to business or architectural requirements, and communicate those designs to the technical development teams.
- Document and execute system, performance, and user-acceptance test plans to ensure that the system changes are error-free and meet the approved requirements and designs.
- Develop and assist project team members with project scope, estimates and detailed work plans.
Qualifications:
- BS/BA degree in Information Systems or Business-related field required
- Experience with technical implementation and technical support Zuora Billing and Revenue product or equivalent subscription management systems
- Experience in requirements gathering, use cases documentation, business analysis, systems design and integration, user interface design and implementation
- Understanding of application integration concepts and information flow between applications.
- Demonstrated ability to organize information and processes in a logical and efficient manner.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills required, including extensive experience meeting and presenting to Stakeholders.
- Experience in informatica cloud integrations a plus
- Experience in Stripe a plus
