Role Overview
This role combines responsibilities of a Senior Finance & AI Data Analyst role. The analyst will serve as a strategic finance partner supporting revenue‑generating business groups while also driving AI‑enabled data automation, dataset quality, and analytics innovation. Responsibilities include partnering with Finance and business leadership, developing financial models, data preparation for AI/ML, and building dashboards to drive insights.
Key Responsibilities
Business Finance
- You will be a trusted and strategic finance partner to Entertainment Business Finance team
- Provide meaningful and actionable information to the business group and Finance leadership teams
- Establish strong lines of communication within the finance team and with business partners to raise issues and provide insights for decision making
- Analyze financial variances and provide a concise and meaningful narrative discussion for leadership
- Assist in developing financial models to support business decisions, significant transactions, and explore financial impacts of potential opportunities
- Build financial models to support business decisions and evaluate transactional or strategic impacts
Data Automation & Dataset Health
- Leverage generative AI and automation tools to accelerate data cleaning, preprocessing, normalization, and enrichment across large‑scale structured and unstructured datasets (e.g., audio, video, metadata)
- Use GenAI‑assisted techniques to identify data inconsistencies, missing values, labeling gaps, and schema issues
- Design and monitor dataset health dashboards using AI‑driven signals such as data drift, bias indicators, and freshness metrics
- Continuously improve data pipelines by incorporating LLMs and intelligent agents for workflow optimization and issue detection
AI‑Ready Dataset Preparation & Quality Management
- Prepare, curate, and document datasets for training, fine‑tuning, and evaluating AI and machine learning models, including generative AI systems
- Apply generative AI to assist with data summarization, feature extraction, metadata generation, and dataset documentation
- Maintain high standards for data quality, consistency, traceability, and version control across the AI lifecycle
- Partner with ML engineers and data scientists to ensure datasets meet evolving model performance and scalability requirements
Validation, Auditing & Anomaly Detection
- Validate and audit datasets to ensure consistency, accuracy, and adherence to internal and external standards
- Apply AI‑driven techniques for anomaly detection, outlier identification, and data drift monitoring
- Support model debugging by tracing data‑related issues that impact ML performance
- Contribute to continuous improvement of data governance and MLOps best practices
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate closely with machine learning, data engineering, product, and content teams across the Entertainment Group
- Translate creative and business requirements into AI‑ready data specifications and quality benchmarks
- Communicate findings, risks, and recommendations clearly to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders
- Stay current on emerging generative AI tools and techniques and evaluate their applicability to Dolby’s data and AI workflows
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Data Science, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years experience in finance, FP&A, data analytics, or AI/ML data operations
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, SQL, and Python
- Experience in data cleaning, preprocessing, validation, and visualization
- Strong analytical problem‑solving skills with attention to detail
- Ability to communicate insights across technical and non‑technical audiences
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with SAP, Board, BI tools, EPM, or similar systems
- Familiarity with data labeling, version control, MLOps, or model monitoring
- Experience supporting media, entertainment, audio, video, or signal‑based datasets
- Familiarity with MLOps concepts such as dataset versioning, data drift, and model monitoring
- Experience using anomaly detection or statistical quality monitoring techniques
- Exposure to cloud data platforms and pipelines (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure)
- Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, collaborative, and creative environment
