As a Sr. Mobile (Capture) QA engineer in Dolby Consumer Entertainment Group, the qualified candidate will test product that enables Dolby audio capture technology to consumer devices like Mobiles, wireless earbuds and variable playback-end devices etc. You will analyze user scenario from our industry-leading customers, create test cases and environments based on our algorithm prototype and target platform, execute tests to evaluate audio capture algorithm and software solution’s performance and feedback the results.

 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Work with Engineering Team, Product/Program Managers and Apply Research team to analyze product requirements algorithm and software solution.
  • Work with senior/staff level engineer or tech. leader to establish test plan, define test cases and setup test/recording environment for mobile audio capture product.
  • Implement and conduct cost-effective comprehensive regression and product tests to ensure product requirements are met.
  • Measure and evaluate the audio capture algorithm and software solution performance on target customer devices.
  • Report issues through a formal bug tracking system and work with the engineering team to help isolate, debug, and resolve issues/bugs.

 

 

Qualifications

  • Master or bachelor’s degree in EE, Recording Engineering or Computer Science.
  • Fundamental knowledge of in-room/outdoor, mono, stereo and multi-channel audio/music recording setup and/or room acoustic measurement.
  • 3+ years’ experience of multi-media framework software experience and focus on recording application or audio mixing/mastering components relevant.
  • Basic knowledge or experience of software QA.
  • Fluent English communication in reading, writing and oral.
  • Experience of audio post-processing component test or post-processing performance evaluation is a big plus
  • Annual business trip is about 5%.
