The Dolby Imaging team in Berlin designs algorithms and develops software that enables the next generation of Dolby's imaging and cloud technologies. The student will be working with the engineering team and help designing, implementing, and supplying software tools that support the creation of video content in Dolby formats.
Job Functions and Competencies:
· Support the development of test scripts and test tools to automate test execution and verification,
· Learn working in an agile process with a team of developers and QA engineers,
· Utilize and adapt existing test automation tools,
· Report issues through a bug tracking system (Jira),
· Help maintaining and extending our continuous integration (CI) infrastructure (Jenkins, Conan, JFrog Artifactory, Gitlab CI),
· Support the engineering team in delivering and testing proofs of concept for Software as a Service products,
· Help moving our CI processes into the cloud. This involves changes concerning data storage, executor creation, CI workflow and implementation.
Qualifications:
· Student in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related subjects,
· Experience in programming with at least one scripting language, ideally Python,
· Experience with Cloud technologies and architecture,
· Good verbal and written communication skills in English,
· A thorough approach to problem solving and flexibility to adapt to changing requirements.
Nice to have:
· Knowledge in the development with C or C++,
· Experience with setting up virtual environments (Docker),
· Readiness to acquire fundamentals of video signal processing and video coding.
