The Dolby Imaging team in Berlin designs algorithms and develops software that enables the next generation of Dolby's imaging technologies. The student will be working with the engineering team and help designing, implementing, and supplying software tools that support the creation of video content in Dolby formats.

 

Job Functions and Competencies

  • Help maintaining and extending our CI infrastructure (Jenkins, Conan, JFrog Artifactory, Gitlab CI)
  • Support the development of test scripts and test tools to automate test execution and verification
  • Learn working in an agile process with a team of developers and QA engineers
  • Utilize and adapt existing test automation tools
  • Report issues through a bug tracking system (Jira)

Qualifications

  • Student in Computer Science, Software or electrical engineering, or related
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Experience with at least one scripting language, ideally Python
  • Experience with source code and artifacts management as well as continuous integration tools such as Git, Conan, JFrog, Jenkins, and Gitlab CI
  • A thorough approach to problem solving
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing requirements

Nice to have: 

  • Experience with setting up virtual environments (Docker) 
  • Knowledge in the development with C or C++ 
  • Readiness to acquire fundamentals of video signal processing and video coding

 

This is a Working Student opportunity for minimum 12 months.
