SUMMARY

We are looking to recruit interns in the Imaging Advanced Research group. The qualified candidate will develop novel color image/video processing algorithms for high dynamic range systems that enable the next generation of Dolby technologies.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design and implement innovative image/video processing and color transformation algorithms
  • Document and present the new algorithms and implementations in various forms, such as technical white papers, etc.
  • Where appropriate, help generate intellectual property pertaining to the technologies researched

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Solid research background in image/video processing and color science, or related fields
  • Proficient in C/C++ programming as well as MATLAB
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Collaborative, team player
  • Proven track record of publications in first-tier conferences and/or journals a plus
  • Experience with some form of HDR image processing (for capture or display) a plus

 

ELIGIBILITY

  • Working towards a Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field; recent grads who are within 1 year of graduation are also eligible to apply
  • Must be available to work full-time Monday–Friday for 3 months between May/June 2021 –August/September 2021. Start dates for the internship are as follows: (*note* these dates are not flexible)
    • Monday, May 24, 2021
    • Monday, June 14, 2021
    • Monday, June 21, 2021
  • COVID UPDATE: This internship will be remote until further notice. Should conditions change, and we can safely allow employees to return to our campuses, there is a possibility of returning to onsite work.
