The Media Streaming Solution (MSS) team is a Denver-based branch of Dolby Laboratories, which specializes in developing exceptional media streaming workflows from source ingest to media delivery, for both client-side and backend solutions, for On-Demand and Live Streaming experiences delivered to viewers worldwide.

This key role focuses primarily on maintaining and enhancing the established architectures and applications that are currently in place with a specific high-profile client external to the larger Dolby organization. You will engage with multiple client teams, internal developer teams, and remote contractor teams to design, plan, and execute support and growth of a complex media orchestration engine that works behind the scenes to power multiple customer-facing products.

Additionally, this individual will lead efforts within the MSS group to grow and improve two powerful in-house tools that center on media inspection, exploration, and quality assurance.

The MSS team is seeking an organized, self-motivated Program Manager who is passionate about customer service, has good communication skills, familiarity with Scrum/Agile workflows, and is eager to not only adapt to, but continuously improve existing project processes in a fast-paced environment.

Key Functions & Responsibilities

  • Manage projects through the project lifecycle, including discovery efforts, estimation/planning, development, validation/deployment, and ticket closure.
  • Daily standup meetings with the customer to provide updates on progress, relay questions, and support overall development efforts.
  • Coordination with the internal developer and QA teams to discuss any updates or changes in priority directed from the client, timelines for test efforts, and any additional support needs.
  • Guide and direct through opportunities to review code and discuss improvements to internal systems and project processes.
  • Weekly Grooming/Planning meetings with clients to look ahead at incoming work and discuss timelines and resource capacities.
  • Weekly financial tracking, and related reporting to internal and client leadership.
  • Provide weekly project updates to internal and client leadership.
  • Annual budget and contract conversations with internal and client leadership, providing insight based on observed financial trends during the project.
  • Ability to organize, plan, and execute upgrades & feature implementation for in-house exploratory tools.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Familiarity with Agile workflows
  • Experience with JIRA or similar ticket tracking systems
  • Familiarity with Microsoft suite applications, including Teams, Sharepoint/OneDrive, Word, Excel, etc.
  • Base familiarity with Engineering and Computer Science concepts, including web & mobile app architecture, API’s, HTTP & HTTPS, Release Management/Version Control, development environments (dev, stage, prod promotion structure), and basics of CI/CD pipelines.
  • Capacity to oversee [HJ1] [KB2] multiple projects at a time.
  • Experience with the concepts of Scrum Mastery and Product Ownership.
  • Strong communication skills,

  • Strong organizational skills, with granular attention to detail.
  • Ability to learn/familiarize with new applications or systems quickly.
  • Desire to grow in skill and scope within the team and within the company.

(Colorado only*) Salary range of $79,800 to $97,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits

Note: Disclosure as required by sb19-085 (8-5-20) of the minimum salary compensation for this role when being hired into our offices in Colorado.
