As such, Dolby technology is exposed to non-licensed use which includes, but is not limited to, software piracy and intellectual property (IP) thievery. At the same time, our technologies may be used as an attack vector for breaking into our customers devices by exploiting existing SW vulnerabilities.
You will be part of a team responsible for creating solutions to protect Dolby’s IP as well as minimize exploitable vulnerabilities in Dolby products. Acting as a Senior Security Engineer you will shape Dolby product security in many ways.
Essential Job Functions
- Contribute to Threat Analysis and Risk Assessment for various Dolby products from both IP security and vulnerability standpoint.
- Implement, verify, and validate IP protection mechanisms.
- Perform exploitability research of discovered vulnerabilities.
- Work swiftly in embedded environment at the verge of operating system, applications and hardware.
Required Education & Skills
- 5+ years of professional experience in software security domain.
- Proficiency in C++, C and Python programming.
- Professional experience with at least one cryptographic implementation (e.g. crypto++, mbedTLS, openSSL, etc.).
- Solid understanding of secure processing and Trusted Execution Environments (TEE).
- Hands-on experience in SW reverse engineering.
- Solid understanding of executable binary formats and their internals.
- Solid understanding of SW vulnerabilities and their exploitation methods (buffer overflows, use-after-free, etc.).
- Solid understanding of operating systems internals.
- Solid handling of disassemblers/decompilers, debuggers, emulators, virtual machines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good command of English (written and spoken).
- Nice to have: CTF player, security research, DIY electronics/robotics.
