Summary:

 

Enabling our partners to create and deliver spectacular Dolby-enabled content is a critical step to ensuring that consumers can regularly experience content in the best possible way.  This then supports the growth in sales of consumer products with integrated Dolby technologies, as more and more consumers recognize the benefits that Dolby-enabled content and products bring to their entertainment experiences.  The Global Technical Community Manager – Content Creation & Services is an important role in driving the adoption and enthusiasm for Dolby’s technologies, particularly Dolby Atmos and Dolby Vision, within the content creation and distribution community. This role will champion Dolby’s solutions, encouraging creators and related partners to embrace Dolby technologies into their workflows. This position is essential in expanding Dolby’s community presence, delivering technical information in accessible ways, reducing the costs of growing our customer base, and facilitating a community of advocates for Dolby's aim of enabling exceptional audio and visual experiences.

 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Be a lead evangelist and key advocate for Dolby’s solutions, promoting the value of Dolby Atmos and Dolby Vision across a range of communication channels.
  • Create a self-service path for acquiring and engaging new customers, and drive people to Dolby’s self-service support and training platforms.
  • Work closely with other Dolby stakeholders including the social media team to craft technical content for Dolby’s social platforms that aligns with trending industry conversations, making complex concepts more accessible to professional creators.
  • Develop and execute communication strategies that resonate with content creators, fostering a deeper understanding and enthusiasm for Dolby’s solutions.
  • Organize and lead webinars, and become a key online presence for the content creation and distribution community
  • Build and nurture an engaged online customer community, focusing on increasing the amount of content delivered In Dolby.
  • Identify and collaborate with key community members to act as advocates, promoting their experiences with Dolby technology.
  • Manage online forums and communities, fostering a supportive environment where users can share insights and ask questions.
  • Collaborate with Dolby’s global social media team to ensure accurate and timely responses to technical questions from professional creators on platforms like LinkedIn, Reddit, and industry-specific forums.
  • Stay on top of industry trends, social conversations, and major product announcements to provide timely technical insights and ensure Dolby’s voice is present where professional creators seek information.
  • Beyond reactive engagement, this role will proactively create and share insights on technical innovations, best practices, and workflow enhancements that empower professional creators using Dolby technologies.

 

This role is within the Partner Success and Support (PSS) organization within Dolby’s Commercial Partnerships group (CP).  It reports to the Head of Global Content Engineering as part of a wider team focused on enabling our content partners and services.

 

 

Essential Job Functions:

  • Evangelize Dolby technologies to a diverse community of content creators, building excitement and understanding around Dolby Atmos and Dolby Vision.
  • While this role is not focused on general consumer engagement, it will be active on social media to respond to technical discussions among professional creators, provide expert insights, and contribute to industry-specific conversations.
  • Develop and execute communication plans that engage, educate, and inspire Dolby’s community through content, forums, and events.
  • Simplify complex technical details for both technical and creative audiences, making Dolby’s advanced solutions accessible to creators of all backgrounds.
  • Identify and develop relationships with key influencers and advocates within the Dolby professional community.
  • Monitor social media and industry forums to identify relevant Dolby-related discussions, engaging with professional creators to share insights, debunk misconceptions, and reinforce best practices.
  • Act as a trusted technical voice in social media conversations where professional creators discuss Dolby technologies, providing clarifications, workflow tips, and best practices.
  • Analyze feedback and community engagement data across various platforms including our knowledge base, email communications, webinars and similar touchpoints.

 

Requirements:

  • 5+ years in community management, technical evangelism, product marketing, or a customer engagement role in the media or technology industry.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English, with experience in simplifying complex technical topics.
  • Proven ability to connect with creators and build enthusiasm for technology; experience with community forums and similar platforms is essential.

Additional Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in audio or video production/post-production.
