What you’ll do:

The Financial Analyst will report to Via Licensing’s Head of Finance and will be responsible for providing financial support and analysis for strategic projects and delivering insights that guide the long-term strategy and day-to-day decisions. 

This role combines strong FP&A fundamentals with analytics and modeling capabilities, serving as a strategic partner to Finance, Operations, Sales, and Executive Leadership. This position is ideal for a hands on and collaborative professional who can own forecasting and financial analysis while also building predictive and scenario-based models to support growth, optimization, and financial decisions. The successful candidate will have a high level of intellectual curiosity with strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to seek and collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and strike the right balance between detail orientation and the big picture.  This hybrid role is required to work in the Denver office three days per week (Tuesday-Thursday).  

 

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with business partners across functional teams to provide business insights and make data driven recommendations
  • Develop and maintain detailed financial models to track and forecast revenue, expenses, supporting monthly, quarterly, annual budget and long-range planning process
  • Prepare and present monthly and quarterly financial reports, and variance analyses to leadership, interpreting financial data to provide key insights into business performance
  • Conduct special project financial analysis and scenario modeling to support strategic initiatives, new product launches, and other critical business priorities
  • Support month, quarter, and year end close activities, ensuring timely and accurate completion of tasks and resolution of unusual items
  • Leverage and improve existing financial planning processes focusing on transparency of planning assumptions and actual performance to the business partners
  • Provide day-to-day financial decision support for Via’s various licensing activities including internal reporting, modeling, and operational metrics.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards tracking key financial and operational metrics
  • Use analytics tools to extract, validate, and analyze large datasets
  • Support ad-hoc analytical projects that vary based on business needs

What you need to succeed:

  • Experience performing ad hoc financial analysis and building complex financial models / forecasts
  • Experience working with large datasets in a business or financial context
  • Strong Excel skills and proficiency with Microsoft Suite, ERP and business intelligence software systems
  • Working knowledge of data visualization tools such as PowerBI, Tableau, Qlikview, etc
  • Analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail balanced with ability to think strategically
  • Flexible/adaptable and team oriented
  • Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks
  • Ability to formulate analysis results in a concise, insightful manner

Desired Background:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, or accounting
  • 2+ years of Finance, Operations, Accounting experience

The Denver Area base salary range for this full-time position is $72,000 - $96,000 and can vary if outside of this location. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, competencies, experience, market demands, internal parity, and relevant education or training.
