Overview:
The Manager, Shared Applications oversees the team responsible for the applications and tools used to support IT and cross-functional business processes. This position will manage a team of business systems analysts (BSAs) and engineers responsible for tools such as ServiceNow, Box.com, Microsoft O365 and its suite of applications (including SharePoint and Teams), Miro, Slack, RingCentral, and other productivity & collaboration solutions. This team is responsible for both the delivery of projects to deploy new solutions as well as enhancing and supporting the existing shared applications in the landscape.
This position is located in Atlanta, GA and reports directly to the Sr. Director of Global Infrastructure within IT.
Essential Job Functions:
- Directly manage and mentor business systems analysts (BSAs) and engineers in both the US and other countries that are participating on strategic systems projects and production support activities. This includes managing their assignments, reviewing their deliverables, providing ongoing coaching, and conducting year-end performance reviews and compensation adjustments.
- Conduct regular meetings with cross-regional and cross-functional business stakeholders to understand their business problems, scope and prioritize their requests, define a roadmap for project delivery, and provide status updates on systems projects in progress.
- Independently manage the execution of minor projects focused on delivering new system functionality, including the definition of deliverables and milestones, reporting status, and coordinating with internal and external partners to deliver the project scope on time and on budget.
- Lead a team of BSAs and engineers to provide production support for the existing applications, including recurring sprints to deliver enhancements and bug fixes from prioritization through to release.
- Meet regularly with vendors to stay informed about their latest versions and features and lead the team to define plans to evaluate, test, communicate, and deploy those features to Dolby workers.
- As necessary, perform hands-on senior business systems analysis tasks, such as documenting and reengineering business processes, gathering high-level requirements, conducting vendor selections, documenting high-level designs, and proposing new solution architectures.
- Review and provide feedback on functional deliverables produced by BSAs as part of the software development life-cycle.
- Lead the effort to recruit new team members as needed, including defining the role to be filled and leading the interviews/selection of new endpoint engineering employees or contractors.
- Manage contractors and vendors responsible for project delivery or production support.
- Ensure the team creates and maintains the necessary documentation about our endpoint engineering architecture, systems, and processes.
- Motivate the team to continuously improve by providing frequent, clear, and consistent feedback, by providing one-on-one mentoring, and by providing training opportunities.
Other Responsibilities
- This position will be based out of Dolby’s office in Atlanta, Georgia and will be a hybrid role, meaning it will require some amount of onsite presence in our Atlanta office each week but can be worked remotely for the other days of the week as agreed to by the manager of this role.
- This role will require occasional travel to visit team members in other Dolby offices.
- This role will occasionally require work during odd hours to support project go-lives or coordinate with team members in other time zones for critical projects.
- Performs duties as assigned by immediate supervisor.
- Performs tasks necessary to complete performance objectives.
- Assists team members as needed.
Knowledge, Skills, Experience, and Education Required:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
- Minimum of 7 years’ experience delivering or supporting IT applications.
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience on full lifecycle systems implementations covering planning, requirements gathering, system design, configuration/development, functional testing, go live and support.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a direct manager of IT professionals, including business systems analysts.
- Experience implementing, enhancing, or leading teams responsible for supporting solutions such as ServiceNow or Microsoft O365.
- Experience managing delivery teams from IT consulting vendors, including managed services engagements.
- Experience directly managing team members in remote locations is a plus.
- In depth knowledge of IT Service Management (ITSM) and IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) best practices.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, including extensive experience meeting and presenting to senior business leaders.
- Strong project management skills including the ability to define the project scope, establish a timeline, coordinate resources, communicate status, and manage the delivery of results.
- Demonstrated ability to organize information and processes in a logical and efficient manner.

The Atlanta Area base salary range for this full-time position is $140,400 - 171,500 plus bonus, equity, and benefits, and can vary if outside of this location. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, competencies, experience, market demands, internal parity, and relevant education or training.
