As an Associate Software Test Engineer in the Dolby QA team, the qualified candidate will test software that enables the next generation of Dolby audio technologies. You will design, write and execute tests as well as design and maintain the QA test environment.
Responsibilities:
- Work with senior engineers to establish and document product test plans.
- Design test methods needed on assigned projects.
- Implement and conduct efficient and comprehensive tests to ensure product requirements are met.
- Utilize and adapt existing test automation tools.
- Report issues through a formal bug tracking system and work with the engineering team to help isolate, debug, and resolve issues/bugs.
- Setup, configure, and maintain software test labs and test environments.
- Stay abreast of industry software testing tools and best practices.
Qualifications:
- B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science/Engineering or Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Engineering mindset and a thorough approach to problem solving.
- Familiarity with software test concepts, including test planning and test case design.
- Solid Python skills.
- Knowledge of C/C++, Git/Gitlab, CMake is advantageous.
- Proven experience working in various software environments like Windows, Unix/Linux, macOS.
- Ability to achieve results, meet deadlines, and adjust to quickly changing priorities in a fast-paced engineering environment.
- Knowledge in Audio Signal Processing is a significant plus.
- Excellent oral and written communication, time management and organizational skills.
