Working as part of the Global People Operations team, the Global People (HR) Operations Associate will play a key role in supporting global People programs and projects while ensuring compliance with employment laws and regulations. This small and agile team is responsible for a wide range of HR systems, administration, analysis, and employee support to Dolby’s global workforce (APAC, US or EMEA). You should have experience with European employment and localized business practices, particularly in Germany. You will be instrumental in ensuring spectacular employee and manager experiences.
What you’ll do:
- Operational and Employee Support
- Administer HR transactional processes such as requisition and position management, new hire, termination, job change, payroll input (including validation of the correctness of monthly payroll input files), benefits, and timekeeping
- Collect feedback on global employee lifecycle events to continuously improve the experience
- Maintain HR data and administer HR systems (e.g., SuccessFactors, ServiceNow, Replicon)
- Utilize ServiceNow to support employee and manager inquiries on Tier 1 People related matters and how to navigate systems and processes at Dolby; escalating as appropriate
- Participate in launching new HR programs/processes including process development, improvement, and testing
- Prepare standard and non-standard employment documents (i.e.: letters, contracts, confirmations, etc.)
- Develop and update knowledge articles in ServiceNow to proactively address employee inquires
- Closely cooperate with other functions such as payroll, benefits, and legal in ensuring integrity of HR data
- Actively participate in HR projects of moderate scope with guidance and timeframes
- Ad hoc requests and support
- Nuremberg On-Site & Works Council Support
- Be the face of the People team in Germany by supporting people operations and the employee experience in our Nuremberg office
- Manage paper employment documents and files and support the Digitization initiative to move these files online
- Support Works Council requests and documentation with assistance; escalating as appropriate
Required Experience/Skills
- Proficient in English, German, and Dutch languages, both written and verbal
- Ability to maintain confidential information
- Demonstrated ability to communicate with employees at all levels, both verbally and in writing
- Ability to manage multiple priorities with great attention to detail
- Collaborative mindset with a focus on teamwork, transparency, and open communication
- Helpfulness and the ability to go above and beyond to deliver a great employee experience
- Resourcefulness with problem-solving, identifying root causes, and proposing solutions

- Willing to learn and embrace technology in order to improve the employee experience and how we get our work done
- Basic working knowledge of German labor laws and employment policies
- Technical expertise in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- At least one year of experience with HR administration or related
- HRIS, payroll, timekeeping, and/or related enterprise software experience
- Ability to work from the Dolby Nuremberg office at least three times a week
Nice to have:
- Experience working with a multinational company
- Experience with cloud-based HR systems (SuccessFactors ideal)
- Knowledge of Belgium labor laws and employment policies
- Proficient with digital collaboration tools, including HR case management and knowledge base software (ServiceNow ideal)
