Intern - Software Development Audio Quality Prediction [f/m/n]

At our Sound Tech Research Group in Nuremberg, we are looking to hire an intern who will contribute to a web application around Listening Test data and Audio Quality prediction. The internship starts in June 2023.

The position is based at our office in Nuremberg, Germany.

Essential Job Functions:

• Convert matlab/octave scripts into python scripts
• Integrate converted python scripts into framework for audio quality prediction
• Develop python scripts to analyze Listening test data and prepare for further processing
• Design interfaces between audio processing/analysis scripts and a web-application
• Work on User Interface (UI) and User Experience (UX) in web-based front-end
• Contribute to improve audio quality prediction performance
• Help hosting external listeners

You will be working fully integrated in a team of researchers and software specialists.

Required Skills and Education:

• Python
• Octave/Matlab
• Basic audio signal processing
• Interest in subjective and objective evaluation of multimedia experiences
• Interest in developing web applications, experience is a plus  
• Written and spoken English language skills

Eligibility: Working towards a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.
