We are seeking a talented and experienced DevOps Engineer for an SLA-based operation of SaaS infrastructure for intelligent media processing and delivery systems in a global operations team, who also contributes to the Cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipeline in a development team. You’ll be part of an engineering organization responsible for delivering next-generation scalable, reliable, and secure systems based on microservice architecture, cloud media processing pipelines, databases, and CDNs. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Be part of a cross-site team that operates a media processing and delivery SaaS systems according to a 24/7 Service Level Agreement;
  • Bridge between development and operation by building and optimizing the Cloud infrastructure required by the developed Cloud services;  
  • Collaborate with local development engineering teams to implement tools and methods for monitoring, error prevention by data analysis, change management, automation related to error detection and mitigation, cost optimization, and capacity planning;
  • Build up and maintain the CI/CD pipeline for the production and testing environments in alignment with the global development and operations teams;
  • Be part of the incidence response team that analyses the incident, recovers the system, and triggers the improvement of the system based on learnings from the incident;
  • Contribute to emergency response tactics\procedures, incident playbooks, and incident simulation exercises;
  • Contribute to DevOps infrastructure & tooling;

 

Qualifications:

  • Experience in deploying and operating highly scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant cloud-based applications according to SLAs;
  • Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in several of the following: 
    • Cloud-native application deployment, reliability, performance monitoring/alerting systems, & Incident management processes and tools;
    • Experience with creating and executing disaster recovery plans; 
    • Familiar with Cloud platforms architectures (ex. AWS, GCP, Azure) and common features (ex. S3, EC2, ALB, IAM, Lambda, DynamoDB), Networking and security, sysadmin;
    • Microservices, containerization, orchestration, and scaling (ex. Docker, Kubernetes), terraform;
    • DevOps best practices and tooling, setting up CI/CD pipelines and related tools;
    • Experience with cloud security and compliance. Familiarity with security compliance standards (e.g. SOC, ISO, CSA);
  • Excellent communication skills in English;
  • Agile and structured working style, and joy about working in a high-performing team;
  • B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Software Engineering or comparable;
  • 3+ years professional experience in the DevOps for SaaS field;
