Summary
The Consumer Entertainment Development Team of Dolby Germany in Nuremberg is looking for a student worker to contribute to our consumer device testing product. Typical assignments are for example:
· Development of software tools for consumer device testing,
· Automation of software tests,
· Extension of existing software tools,
· Support prototyping with embedded platforms,
· Test Signal Generation and automation of consumer device testing including controlling hardware devices,
· Extension of the product test suite for consumer device certification testing,
· Extension and maintenance of Laboratories
For this role you will develop and maintain software tools, automate tests, and also experiment with Consumer Devices (such as, SmartTVs, Smart +speakers, AVRs, Soundbars, Settop Boxes, etc.), inside a highly proficient scrum development team. Qualifications:
· Student of Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics or similar
· Experience in scripting languages: Python
· First experience with C programming language and its basic understanding
· Experience in Affinity to Linux OS
· Good Communication skills in English, written and verbally
Nice to have:
· Experience with testing of audio/video applications, or consumer devices
· Experience in setting up/working with embedded HW platforms
· Experience in Git or other Software Version Control system
· Experience with pytest
Work schedule: minimum of 10h per week, ideally 15-20h per week
