This role is essential as we elevate our function into a dynamic people and places business partnership. You will play a key role in fostering collaboration across all aspects of corporate operations, evolving how we operate in Germany, and being a vital enabler for future success by navigating and solving complex issues. Your primary focus will be delivering impactful employee experiences and adding value for our stakeholders in line with Dolby’s business imperatives.

Based in our new Nürnberg office located in Campus Marienberg and reporting to the Regional People and Places team, you will be part of a small team delivering site operations support primarily in Germany and potentially France, and Belgium depending on your experience. Your primary responsibility will be to enhance the workplace experience, establishing close relationships with senior business leaders and other key stakeholders as the single point of contact for all workplace experience operations.

 

Responsibility: Employee Experience

1. Implement and Evolve Workplace Experience

  • Ensure that the workplace experience for Dolby employees is positive, engaging, and aligned with our business objectives.
  • Implement the user experience at sites, working closely with stakeholders to continuously enhance the experience for employees and visitors.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to refine the site experience and proactively engage with employees and visitors to gather insights and feedback.
  • Regularly propose new ideas and opportunities for improving the program, drawing on industry benchmarking, employee feedback, and your own observations.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices, attending networking events and conferences to bring fresh ideas to our user experience strategy.

2. Event Planning & Employee Engagement

  • Foster a workspace environment that encourages employee engagement and well-being.
  • Organize and support wellness programs, team-building events, and other initiatives that enhance company culture.
  • Plan and execute social impact projects, corporate volunteer days, and philanthropic efforts, including Dolby Cares Days.
  • Coordinate and implement all Dolby events related to workplace experience, ensuring they contribute to a positive and cohesive employee experience.

Additional Responsibilities

3. Workplace Management

 

  • Collaborate with partners to deliver workplace experiences and effective workplace facility management services.
  • Budget & Project Management: Manage site budgets in line with Dolby policies and handle multiple projects with a proactive approach.
  • Plan and supervise planned maintenance and coordinate infrastructure change projects in line with corporate standards.
  • Manage vendor contracts through RFPs and ensure procurement activity aligns with policy.
  • Collaborate closely with the regional EH&S manager to manage Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) within the workplace office environment.
  • Implement health and safety programs in accordance with Dolby EH&S guidelines, conduct risk assessments, and ensure continuous compliance and employee understanding.
  • Organize and facilitate safety training sessions for employees.
  • Work with cross functional team and local security partners to implement safety and security enforce security measures.
  • Offer round-the-clock emergency support and guide new staff in administrative procedures.

 

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years of direct workplace engagement experience, with experience delivering combined hard and soft facility services.

Skills:

  • Ability to handle challenging demands from senior business leaders, providing prompt and effective solutions and able to navigate complex environments with multiple business areas and countries.
  • Experience in managing change creatively within agreed frameworks.
  • Proficiency in collecting, analyzing, and presenting data to support decision-making.
  • A proactive problem-solver with the ability to work autonomously and collaboratively.
  • Strong financial management skills and experience with MS Office applications.
  • Excellent communication skills in both English and German with French and Spanish being desirable.
  • Adaptability and superior customer service/relationship management skills.
