The Commercial Partnerships team seeks the absolute best talent to foster and grow our engagement with key customers. Dolby is big enough to give you all the resources you need and small enough so you can make a real difference and earn recognition for your work.
The ideal candidate will have both a sales background that enables them to drive an engagement at the Executive level and with technology leaders. We seek a self-starter who sees the big picture and looks to make the most significant impact possible. Success requires the ability to establish new high-level partner relationships and uncover new collaboration opportunities.
Responsibilities:
- Lead Dolby’s relationship with selected Automotive OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers
- Identify, develop, and manage all relevant intersection points between Dolby and accounts, prioritize and drive the engagements, and eradicate any barriers to closure and commitments.
- Craft and drive creative selling strategies; show persistence, urgency, a willingness to take risks, and quickly learn/pivot when necessary
- Drive internal global teams to help execute your overall account vision(s) expanding the business relationships and creating value for our partners.
- Serve as the voice of the partner and marketplace within Dolby to influence a) the development of new products, services, and licensing programs, b) strategic direction of Dolby key initiatives.
Requirements:
- 7+ years of enterprise sales and/or business development experience with a focus in the Automotive industry
- Based in Detroit MI or surrounding area
- BA/BS degree required or equivalent experience
- Proven track record in developing relationships with key decision-makers and influencers (technical and business) to progress and close large technology commercial deals or partnerships.
- Experience in building long-term account strategies in rapidly evolving markets.
- Ability to leverage your professional network to uncover new business opportunities for Dolby
- Ability to identify and gain the support of internal stakeholders across an organization to assemble, drive and motivate virtual teams to achieve results
- Strong understanding and passion for the Music and Automotive industries and their dynamics, how manufacturers, Tier 1 suppliers and other relevant parties are structured, related trends, development cycles, and decision-making criteria(s).
- Strong negotiation skills with a track record of achieving mutually agreeable outcomes.
- Must have executive presence and clear communication skills with the capability of persuading others to accept product/solution concepts that may differ from their initial perspectives.

The Detroit Area base salary range for this full-time position is $112,800 - 137,900K plus bonus, equity, and benefits, and can vary if outside of this location. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, competencies, experience, market demands, internal parity, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range and perks and benefits for your location during the hiring process.
