We are excited to now come to Ireland where we are opening an office in Dublin. As part of our growth here  we are looking for an experienced Senior Patent Paralegal to join our European patent group and to protect rights to our innovations. 


This is a great opportunity to help us open and grow our irish office. The job will be a very flexible hybrid role. 


As a member of the IP Operations Leadership team, you will report to the Director of IP Operations and play a crucial role in helping establish and protect our rights to our innovations. You will serve as an expert resource and work cooperatively with a large team of in-house attorneys, patent agents, engineers, and patent paralegals. Ability to obtain and effectively communicate information related to pending patent applications and matters European patent law.




In this role as a Senior Patent Administrator, you will:


  • Build European paralegal team within broader IP Operations team, creating infrastructure, disseminating knowledge, and driving projects
  • Supervise, manage, train, and inspire European paralegals and/or administrative assistants
  • Review patent correspondence and extract relevant information
  • Initiate filing of EP and PCT applications, including preparing complex legal documents for such patent filings
  • Deal with formal requirements such as preparing and filing of subsequent documents with the European Patent Office (EPO)
  • Maintain records related to the prosecution of patent applications
  • Support special projects related to our worldwide patent portfolio
  • Work collaboratively and positively with internal patent attorneys, patent agents, and international law firms utilizing in-depth knowledge of foreign patent rules and requirements
  • Assist with docketing of patent information and review deadlines for accuracy
  • Actively establish strong working relationships, freely share information, and collaborate with IP and Legal department personnel in Ireland and worldwide
  • Analyze, develop, and update policies and procedures to accommodate changes in internal accounts and legal considerations



The ideal Senior Patent Administrator:


  • BSc or Bachelor degree in the Legal or Business field. No paralegal certification or qualification is required
  • 5 plus years in a similar role(s)
  • Strong leadership skills; people management experience preferred
  • Extensive experience with and knowledge of EPO applications, such as EPO Online Account, CMS, EPO filing software, EPO Mailbox
  • Experience with Anaqua or other docketing systems
  • Patent research skills required, including working knowledge of online research tools in PAIR, Espacenet, PATENTSCOPE, and other foreign patent office databases
