We are seeking a talented intern to help us deliver the next generation of media technology. In this role you’ll help design, build and deploy cloud-native solutions and infrastructure for intelligent A/V content processing and delivery systems. You’ll work with an outstanding team to deliver next-generation scalable, reliable and secure systems based on microservice architecture, cloud media processing pipelines, databases, CDNs and security. RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Pursue knowledge, growth and excellence in software, cloud, media and streaming technology
  • Help design, build and deploy next-generation scalable cloud media processing platforms and tools
  • Help drive new features from concept and requirements to deployment
  • Collaborate with cross functional, cross global teams to develop cloud native services and solutions
  • Help identify, analyze and resolve infrastructure vulnerabilities and application deployment issues
  • Proactively communicate your ideas, proposals, questions and solutions
  • Support your team and build trusting relationships with your work partners
  • Seek opportunities to innovate, experiment and prototype on new ideas

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Solid programming skill in a common language (ex. Python, Go, C/C++, C#, Java, Node.js, Ruby)
  • Some familiarity or experience with a few of the following:
    • Distributed systems, concurrency, event-driven architecture, API design, RESTful web services
    • Cloud platforms (ex. AWS, GCP, Azure) and common features (ex. S3, EC2, ALB, IAM, Lambda)
    • Microservices, containerization, orchestration and scaling (ex. Docker, Kubernetes)
    • DevOps tool chains and cloud CI/CD pipelines
    • Linux application development, scripting, networking, Git, OSS
    • Test-driven development
  • Familiarity with and/or strong interest in learning about:
    • Media streaming technology
    • Audio and/or video fundamentals and encoding methods
    • Data analytics

 

ELIGIBILITY

  • Working towards a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field
  • Due to COVID-19, recent grads who are within 1 year of graduation are also eligible to apply
  • Must be available to work remotely and full-time Monday – Friday for 3 months between January 2021 - April 2021
