Job Summary

The Financial Analyst, FP&A will report to Via Licensing’s Manager, FP&A and be responsible for producing ad hoc financial and operational models to support senior management’s strategic decision making.  The successful candidate will also be adept with long range planning, analyzing key business trends, managing actual versus plan variances, and working with OPEX. 



  • Collaborate with business partners across functional areas to classify, quantify, and/or forecast business metrics & risks by providing reliable, accurate, comparable, and timely information
  • Leverage and improve existing financial planning processes focusing on transparency of planning assumptions and actual performance to the business partners
  • Support annual operating plan, quarterly forecasting processes and long-range financial projection processes which shall include developing revenue projections, profitability assessments, and OPEX budgets for the organization and effectively communicate results to management
  • Drive analysis of monthly and quarterly results, creating comprehensive reporting packages for Senior management focused on OPEX spending and financial performance
  • Drive month-end closing process and rolling forecasts with various licensing pool programs
  • Provide day-to-day financial decision support for Via’s various licensing activities including internal reporting, modeling, and operational metrics. Run various “what-if” scenarios using business partner insights and critical thinking to develop feedback and recommendations on the overall health of the business, key issues, risks, and opportunities.
  • Monitor monthly OPEX activity within Cost Centers


Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, or accounting
  • 3+ years of Finance experience with documented advancement
  • FP&A and business support experience with an eye towards best in class customer service and providing insightful analyses
  • Experience performing ad hoc financial analysis and building complex financial models / forecasts
  • Analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to be self-directed and own problems until they are resolved
  • Attention to detail balanced with ability to think strategically
  • Adept at being a finance business partner to drive the business and facilitate goal achievement
  • Interpersonal skills, including ability to work effectively across various stakeholder groups
  • Flexible / adaptable and team oriented
  • Computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, ERP systems)
  • Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at a time in conjunction with normal activities
