SUMMARY
This is an excellent opportunity to learn first-hand what it takes to put on highly visible B2B and B2C events in a fast-paced environment. You will work closely with our events team to help coordinate logistics for Dolby's Tier 1 events and activations (digitally and physically), including tradeshows and experiential activations (from pop-ups to long term building activations). Past events included CES, IBC, Dolby owned Pop-Ups, and activations at the Grammys, AMA's, Oscars, etc.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • The intern should demonstrate a professional, can-do attitude, and exceptional follow-through. Being flexible, organized, collaborative, and dependable are key to this role's success. 
  • Event Planning and Production:
  • Assist in all aspects of planning and executing events
  • Provide overall program management support, including supporting stakeholder and attendee meetings and creating custom-built surveys
  • Maintaining up-to-date event documentations (action plans, track deliverables, onsite schedules, etc.)
  • Serve as liaison with vendors on event-related matters
  • Assist with managing onsite event mgmt.
  • Assist with post-event recaps, including compiling data and post-event feedback and formatting executive reports 

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Applicants should possess impeccable integrity, outstanding interpersonal skills, excellent written, and oral communication skills. Looking for a take charge, personable individual with the ability to manage administration and logistics in support of a small but mighty events team. 
  • Experience and coursework in events, communications, and marketing
  • Well organized, dedicated, confident, energetic, and creative
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with little supervision while meeting deadlines
  • Self-starter with a sense of humor and positive, solution-oriented demeanor
  • Must be available to work evenings and weekends occasionally and may have the opportunity to travel 
  • Interest in the entertainment ecosystem and consumer technology industry (includes Music, gaming, film) 
  • Computer literate:
    • Proficient using the latest versions of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
    • Aptitude to learn other tools/platforms (IE Airtable, Miro, event registration, scheduling, and survey tools)

 

ELIGIBILITY

  • Working towards a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Marketing, Event Planning, or related field; recent grads who are within 1 year of graduation are also eligible to apply
  • Must be available to work full-time Monday – Friday for 6 months between May/June 2021 – November/December 2021. Start dates for the internship are as follows: (*note* these dates are not flexible)
    • Monday, May 24, 2021
    • Monday, June 14, 2021
    • Monday, June 21, 2021
  • COVID UPDATE: This internship will be remote until further notice. Should conditions change, and we can safely allow employees to return to our campuses, there is a possibility of returning to onsite work.
