The Professional Products and Solutions team in Dolby is responsible for implementing and enabling products for current and next-generation broadcast and content creation workflows, from authoring and production, to distribution.



  • As a PPS intern, you will help to enable the transmission, and monitoring of content on current-and next-generation broadcast and content delivery networks
  • Bring your creativity and passion to help build the future of the entertainment experience



  • Proficient in C programming (C++ a plus)
  • Background in at least one of the following: audio engineering, psychoacoustics, perceptual audio coding
  • Great team player; interested in experimentation and investigation; willing to piece together some code to try your idea or put together aprototype to see if it works; motivated to succeed
  • Experience developing on OS-level media or real-time frameworks is a plus



  • Working towards a Bachelor’s, Master’s or Ph.D degree in Computer Science and/or Electrical Engineering or a related field; recent grads who are within 1 year of graduation are also eligible to apply
  • Must be available to work full-time Monday–Friday for 3-months between May/June 2021–August/September 2021 
  • Start dates for the internship are as follows: (*note* these dates are not flexible)
    • Monday, May 24, 2021
    • Monday, June 14, 2021
    • Monday, June 21, 2021
  • COVID UPDATE: This internship will be remote until further notice. Should conditions change, and we can safely allow employees to return to our campuses,there is a possibility of returning to onsite work.
