Dolby Laboratories, Inc. has an exciting opportunity for a young professional looking to build skills in auditing and accounting. As an Internal Audit Intern, you will develop core skills in accounting and auditing that establish a foundation for advancement in a wide variety of Finance/Accounting career paths. This position offers high visibility and an opportunity to gain a broad and deep understanding of the Company's key operations and processes.


  • Facilitate discussions with process/controls owners in reviewing Dolby’s documentation of process narratives financial business processes
  • Perform testing of Dolby’s key finance and IT-related SOX controls and identify opportunities for process improvements 
  • Present findings and recommendations to Dolby Finance leadership 
  • Assess and develop recommendations regarding compliance with corporate policies and procedures
  • Execute operational audits
  • Create accurate, logical and detailed work-papers clearly describing the work performed, testing results and conclusions for both SOX control testing and internal audit projects
  • Develop and maintain process documentation 



  • Excellent documentation and analytical skills with attention to detail
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications including Word, Excel and Visio
  • Solid desire to solve problems and enthusiastic about learning
  • Solid written, oral, and presentation communication skills
  • Solid knowledge of GAAP and financial theory



  • Working towards a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; recent grads who are within 1 year of graduation are also eligible to apply
  • Must be available to work full-time Monday – Friday for 3 months between May/June 2021 – August/September 2021. Start dates for the internship are as follows: (*note* these dates are not flexible)
    • Monday, May 24, 2021
    • Monday, June 14, 2021
    • Monday, June 21, 2021
  • COVID UPDATE: This internship will be remote until further notice. Should conditions change, and we can safely allow employees to return to our campuses, there is a possibility of returning to onsite work.
