This is a great opportunity to learn about global communications. 
Among other tasks, the intern will get to:

  • Help monitor news coverage, cultural and industry trends, and social conversations across different digital platforms (news sites, Twitter, Reddit, YouTube, LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, etc.) 
  • Research reporters and media outlets 
  • Write materials for press outreach, press releases, social copy, blog posts, and other communication mediums 
  • Work with social media leads to engage with our audiences across all owned social platforms 
  • Assist with plans and reports 
  • Schedule and/or approve social posts in publishing platform 
  • Monitor competitor and partner social feeds 
  • Help to manage a global content calendar across all Dolby Labs and Dolby Cinema social channels


  • Strong communications skills, especially writing
  • Experience and/or coursework in journalism, communications, marketing, or media
  • Storytelling chops – know how to tell an irresistible story
  • Knowledge of social media and public relations best practices
  • Intellectual curiosity
  • Ability to explain complex ideas simply and concisely
  • Interest in consumer technology and/or the entertainment industry 



  • Working towards a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in PR, Journalism, Communications, Marketing or a related field 
  • Due to COVID-19, recent grads who are within 1 year of graduation are also eligible to apply
  • Must be available to work remotely and full-time Monday – Friday for 3 months between January 2021 - April 2021
