As a  Software Engineer in Test for Dolby, you will help design, specify, craft and maintain test environments as well as design, write, execute, manage test sets and communicate the health of the project. You will be a critical member of a team that delivers extraordinary experiences to the world with next generation Dolby technologies. 




  • Design and execute automated testing with a focus on audio and metadata verification. 

  • Work with senior engineers to establish product and system test plans. 

  • Implement and conduct cost-effective comprehensive regression and product tests to ensure product requirements are met. 

  • Utilize and adapt existing test automation tools. 

  • Report issues through a formal bug tracking system and work with the engineering team to help isolate, debug, and resolve issues/bugs. 

  • Setup, configure and maintain test environments. 

  • Stay ahead of industry-standard software testing tools and methodologies. 




  • Experienced in automated test engineering. 

  • B.S. in Computer Science/Engineering or Electronics Engineering or two years of professional experience. 

  • Familiarity with software test concepts, including test planning and test design. 

  • Fluency programming in programming and scripting languages such as Python, C, C++, C# and ,Bash. 

  • Familiarity with standard bug reporting tools such as Jira, Bugzilla, or ClearQuest. 

  • Proven experience working in various software environments such as Windows, Linux, and Mac OSX. 

  • Ability to achieve results, meet deadlines, and adjust to quickly changing priorities in a fast-paced engineering environment. 



  • Experience using software test automation frameworks such as pytest 

  • Demonstrated experience testing Dolby or similar products in the audio domain is a significant plus
