SUMMARY
This is a rare opportunity to join a cutting-edge Sound Research team working with world-class engineers and researchers on cutting edge technologies, as well as continue your learning through a dynamic on the job experience. You’ll need to have solid C++ skills, with some UI knowledge, and any exposure to Audio plug-in development is highly regarded.  
  
The internship program has been created with the intention of bringing the next generation of engineering and research talent to Dolby; participation in the program is a bonus when it comes to consideration for full-time opportunities within the company.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Sound Tech Research Intern, you will be responsible for building a prototype audio Plug-in for interaction with sound mixers and content creators.  

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Strong C++ skills
  • Exposure and/or experience in developing audio plug-in (such as VST, AAX or AU), including familiarity with the JUCE framework, or equivalent
  • Familiarity with MATLAB and audio effects signal processing 
  • Some experience with user interface development 
  • High level written and verbal communication in both general and technology-specific applications
  • Ability to work independently when required

 

ELIGIBILITY

  • Working towards a degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a related field; recent grads who are within 1 year of graduation are also eligible to apply
  • Must be available to work full-time Monday – Friday for 3 months between May/June 2021 – Aug/Sept 2021. Start dates for the internship are as follows: (*note* these dates are not flexible)
    • Monday, May 24, 2021
    • Monday, June 14, 2021
    • Monday, June 21, 2021
  • COVID UPDATE: This internship will be remote until further notice. Should conditions change, and we can safely allow employees to return to our campuses, there is a possibility of returning to onsite work.
