The Cloud Media Solutions organization builds technologies and innovations that easily integrate into service providers’ infrastructure to make content experiences more effective, meaningful, and engaging for consumers.

 

Summary:

We are seeking a talented intern to join the Dolby Hybrik engineering team. You will help design, specify, craft and maintain test automation tools around our cloud media processing platform. Through this work, you’ll get exposure to software development, QA/testing, distributed systems, cloud technologies (AWS), microservices, and more.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Create test automation tools for our cloud platform and services

  • Create documentation around test tool design and test coverage

  • Create, review, and execute test plans

  • Learn and build skills in cloud software

  • Collaborate with your team in code reviews, design sessions and agile software development process

  • Demonstrate your work to teammates and stakeholders in various forums. 

  • Communicate your ideas, proposals, questions and solutions.

 

Qualifications:

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s, master’s or recent grad in CS, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or comparable field.

  • Strong written and verbal communication and growth mindset.

  • Experienced in a common programming language, such as Node.js, Python, Go, Java, Ruby, C/C++, etc.

  • Experience or exposure to Node.js is strongly desired but not mandatory

  • Familiarity or interest in test-driven development and QA process

  • Familiarity or interest with a cloud platform (AWS, GCP or Azure) and common features such as S3 and EC2. 

  • Familiarity or interest in REST APIs, web services and distributed systems.

Eligibility
Working towards a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science or a related field; recent grads who are within 6 months of graduation are also eligible to apply. Must be available to work full-time Monday – Friday for 12 weeks between May/June 2024 – August/September 2024. 

 

The start dates for this internship are as follows (please note these dates are not flexible): 

  • May 20, 2024 or 
  • June 17, 2024 

The San Francisco/Bay Area base salary range for this full-time position is $48/hr-$57/hr, which can vary if outside this location, plus bonus, benefits, and some roles may also include equity. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, competencies, experience, market demands, internal parity, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range and perks and benefits for your location during the hiring process.
