Summary

We are seeking a talented software engineer to help design, build and deploy cloud-native solutions and infrastructure for intelligent A/V content processing and delivery systems. You’ll work with an outstanding team to deliver next-generation scalable, reliable and secure systems based on microservice architecture, cloud media processing pipelines, databases and CDNs. The main responsibility of this placement is to develop a distributed and scalable cloud (serverless) software application (backend, frontend, containers and/or executables) used for testing other cloud-based applications.

 

Qualifications:

  • B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent experience
  • Demonstrable experience in cloud software development
  • Professional experience in multiple modern object-oriented programming languages (e.g: C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, Python...), both dynamically and statically typed, in order to easily pick up development on different tools.
  • Experience with cloud serverless design (FaaS, AWS Lambda, DynamoDB, CloudFormation, ECS/Fargate, CloudWatch, SQS, SNS).
  • Extensive experience with Linux and BASH.
  • Experience in Agile/Scrum software development.
  • Usage of Git.
  • Nice to haves
    • Experience in container-based cloud architecture (Docker, Kubernetes).
    • Experience with multiple (non-AWS) cloud providers.
    • Experience with ReactJS or AngularJS.

 

ELIGIBILITY

Working towards a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field; recent grads who are within 6 months of graduation are also eligible to apply. Must be available to work full-time Monday – Friday for 6 months between May/June 2022 – December 2022. Start dates for the internship are as follows: (*note* these dates are not flexible)
