Dolby is looking for a Director of Sales to join Dolby.io, a new developer platform revolutionizing communications, streaming, audio, and video experiences. 

 

As a Director of Sales, Dolby.io, you will grow, manage and develop our customer base and our industry-leading sales team. Dolby.io is our rapid-growth API platform, and we are looking for a sales leader to help design and build our sales infrastructure. The right person for this role is a self-starter - someone who wants to develop and identify repeatable and scalable process to acquiring logos while increasing adoption and utilization of Dolby’s suite of APIs.  

 

What you will do:

  • Communicate and sell the Dolby.io API Platform to mid-market and enterprise business to drive customer and revenue growth
  • Manage and coach teams that excel in selling software solutions to enterprises by leading, growing and mentoring
  • Become an expert in our communications and media processing APIs and use cases to find and grow customer opportunity
  • Effectively communicate (both verbal and written) with our customers and internal stakeholders and make complex contractual, technical, and financial details understandable
  • Manage the pipeline in Salesforce, overseeing projects to ensure customer expectations are met and projects stay schedule
  • Partner with sales engineers and work cross functionally with other departments such as customer success, marketing, operations, legal and finance
  • Collaborate with marketing to build demand, create opportunities, improve brand awareness, and participate in major industry events to generate more leads and opportunities
  • Hold regular business reviews to identify issues and opportunities within the sales pipeline

 

Who you are:

  • Excited to build, mentor and lead a high-performing sales team of account executives and sales development representatives
  • Lead teams through stages of rapid customer and revenue growth
  • Have key experience selling software-as-a-service or understand how to do so
  • A track record of exceeding sales goals and driving growth year over year
  • Comfortable managing all monthly forecasting and reporting, and can support fiscal planning and revenue tracking
  • Value partnering with marketing, product management and customer success to accelerate customer acquisition, growth and retention
  • Obsessed about your customers and will do what it takes to make and keep them happy and engaged
  • 10+ years of experience, most recently at least three of those years managing sales teams in a SaaS and delivering solid revenue and organizational growth
