Working within Dolby’s Global Logistics team, the Trade Compliance Analyst will report to the Trade Compliance Senior Manager, assisting with global import and export operational activities, with the primary focus on the customs activities in the US. The Trade Compliance Analyst will be response for the trade elements on shipments, monitoring of US exports and importations, providing support to the US logistics team as required, as well as working directly with customs brokers, carriers, internal departments and externally to support and help build Dolby’s Trade Compliance program.  



  • Determination of trade data such as:  HTS, ECCN, Country of Origin, trade preference program qualification, product codes, import/export documentation requirements and valuation of products.
  • Understanding of US export declaration processes, including submitting of EEI transactions
  • Operational point of contact of brokerage activities in US and other countries as required
  • Ensuring Trade data is captured compliantly on shipments
  • Monitor import/export regulatory and procedural changes
  • Perform quarterly auditing of customs entries to ensure Dolby is complying with regulations
  • Support global trade compliance/logistics initiatives as required



  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • 5+ years of experience in trade compliance
  • US Customs Brokerage License a plus
  • Knowledge of trade rules and regulations
  • Classification of products (HTS)
  • Strong knowledge of US export regulations
  • Global Logistics experience
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and collaboratively
  • Must be able to organize, prioritize and drive results
  • Excellent customer services skills
  • Excellent communications and interpersonal skills
  • Highly organized and able to multi-task
  • Excellent computer skills, experienced in Windows, including MS Office including Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Experience with SAP/Oracle or similar ERP, especially in the sales and Logistics functions
  • Critical attention to detail and research skills required
  • Must be able to work under minimum supervision needed on complex, non-standard responsibilities
