About the Role

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented intern to join our Places team, supporting our Employee Experience Systems & Operations initiative. This project focuses on improving how employees engage with our digital and physical workplace through streamlined tools, processes, and support systems.

As the Places Systems & Operations Intern, you will play a pivotal role in driving cross-functional coordination, mapping and documenting workflows, and ensuring employees have a clear and smooth experience with our internal platforms and services.

This is a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of employee experience, workplace systems, and operational excellence, while gaining exposure to real-world project management, stakeholder engagement, and systems implementation.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Coordination: Assist with tracking milestones, updating project timelines, and supporting alignment across internal stakeholders and systems teams.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Coordinate communication and feedback loops between the People & Places team, partner departments, and system users to ensure employee needs are represented in system design and rollout.
  • Documentation Creation: Draft user guides, standard operating procedures (SOPs), knowledge base content, and training materials to support scalable, self-service system usage.
  • Process Mapping: Collaborate with team leads to visualize workflows and system touchpoints, identifying areas for improvement and simplification.
  • Systems Support: Participate in testing, change management, and launch readiness activities to support successful system adoption.

  • A strong communicator who can clearly synthesize technical or operational information into easy-to-understand documentation
  • Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, evolving environment
  • Interested in employee experience, workplace operations, or systems design
  • Collaborative and eager to learn from a diverse, global team

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Business, Communications, Human Resources, Information Systems, or a related field
  • Familiarity with project coordination or documentation tools (e.g., Microsoft Suite, Smartsheet, Box)
  • Interest in employee-facing systems like ServiceNow, workplace tools, or internal service delivery platforms

Eligibility

Working towards a Bachelor’s or Master's degree; recent grads who are within 6 months of graduation are also eligible to apply. Must be available to work full-time Monday – Friday for 3 months between September 2025 – December 2025. 

 

Start dates for the internship are as follows: (*note* this date is not flexible) 

  • Monday, September 22, 2025 

 

 

The San Francisco/Bay Area base hourly range for this internship position is $32-44/hr and can vary if outside of this location. Our hourly ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
