Dolby Laboratories Facilities Infrastructure and Environmental Health & Safety Intern (6-month position)

SUMMARY  

The Intern in this position will be a shared resource between the Facilities & Sustainability (FS) and Environmental, Health and Safety (EH&S) Teams within the People & Places business group of Dolby Labs. The Intern will complete a policy, process and procedure definition and documentation project.  

 

RESPONSIBILITIES  

The work will include current and desired state research and analysis, sourcing best practice standards for various areas of work requirements, documentation & flow charts, approvals as required, and managing record organization and bench marking standards under the direction of the hiring managers. The project will support program development and program sustainability efforts, especially in the areas of increasing operational safety.  

 

QUALIFICATIONS  

  • Mastery of MS Office Suite  

  • Knowledge of or a keen interest in global facility systems and operations, including all health, safety and environmental aspects  

  • Excellent oral and written communications and documentation skills, working as part of a team  

  • Experience with research and analysis  

  • Experience with or knowledge of quality and continuous improvement programs such as Six Sigma, Malcolm Baldrige, etc.  

  • Experience in or the ability to learn and understand regulatory compliance matters  

  • Experience or a keen interest in policy, process, and procedure development and documentation  

  • Ability to communicate concisely with technical and non-technical employees and contractors

ELIGIBILITY  

Working towards a or Business or Masters degree in business, program development or a related field; recent grads who are within 6 months of graduation are also eligible to apply. Must be available to work full-time Monday–Friday for 6 months starting from May/June 2023. 

 

Start date for the internship is as follows: (*note* this date is not flexible) 

  • Monday, May 22, 2023 

  • Monday, June 5, 2023 

  • Monday, June 19, 2023 

 

The San Francisco/Bay Area base hourly range for this internship position is $28 - $33/hr., and can vary if outside of this location. Our hourly ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific hourly range and perks and benefits for your location during the hiring process.
