SUMMARY 

The Sales and Marketing Intern, CP Americas will work towards helping our team drive adoption of Dolby technologies in customer accounts and the entertainment ecosystem. The role will support our existing sales teams and the licensing operations team to complete licensing and onboarding process for new and existing customer accounts and assist in customer marketing activities. Success will be reflected in growing the number of customers licensed for target technologies and the corresponding revenue generated. The Sales and Marketing Intern closely works with our managers in sales, engineering, marketing, sales operations, etc. and managers to execute on sales strategies, execute sales goals for targeted markets and customers.  

  

We are seeking someone with the right mix of passion, drive to get things done, relationship skills, strategic insight, analytical ability, and creativity.  The successful intern will be an organized, self-starter, with a desire to be managing partner activities and/or events, supporting sales or marketing organizations in the fast-paced technology industry.  This position is an ideal role for someone who enjoys supporting a fun team and is eager to learn about Dolby, technology, customer management and marketing and more. The position requires an individual that is resourceful and can work autonomously, take initiative and demonstrate excellent follow through. 

  

There will be some travel required, often customer facing. Candidate will work closely with Account Leads to prioritize work, provide guidance, and ultimately support the wider team. 

  

RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Work with the CP Americas Sales and Licensing Operations team on supporting activities and initiatives in customer accounts. 

  • Support efforts to build, maintain and grow relationship with stakeholder in customer accounts and internal stakeholders across functions. 

  • Support customers in adoption and implementing Dolby technologies into their products. 

  • Co-ordinate with Marketing teams to support and partner with customer accounts in marketing activities and customer communication. 

  • Interact with customers, learn and understand customer needs, and identify how Dolby can add value. 

  • Presentation development and delivery to stakeholders. 

  • Learn the overall consumer electronics and entertainment market, understand Dolby’s technologies and how we fit into complex ecosystems. 

  • Build relationships across the Dolby organization and collaborate with cross functional teams.  

  • Perform additional daily tasks as requested. 

  

QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Studying for Bachelor’s degree or equivalent. 

  • Holds himself/herself accountable for delivering on goals and commitment. 

  • Desire for experience supporting customers and events in a fast-paced high-tech environment. 

  • Interest in consumer technology and/or the entertainment industry. 

  • Detail-oriented and organized, ability to juggle multiple projects and deadlines. 

  • Collaborative team player who can build strong relationships. 

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. 

  • Enthusiastic, resourceful, and comfortable wearing many hats. 

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

ELIGIBILITY 

Working towards a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field; recent grads who are within 6 months of graduation are also eligible to apply. Must be available to work full-time Monday–Friday for 6 months starting from May/June 2023.  

Start date for the internship is as follows: (*note* this date is not flexible)  

  • Monday, May 22, 2023  

  • Monday, June 5, 2023  

  • Monday, June 19, 2023 

 

 

The San Francisco/Bay Area base hourly range for this internship position is $28 - $33 depending on education level and can vary if outside of this location. Our hourly ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific hourly range and perks and benefits for your location during the hiring process.
