Summary

 

Dolby Laboratories is looking for a self-motivated, talented individual interested in applying their theoretical and practical expertise to the development of new technologies. This opportunity is in the Science Team – within the Advanced Technology Group of Dolby Laboratories. It will involve work in close collaboration with other scientists/technology developers/researchers in multiple locations.

Responsibilities

 

You will work closely with the Science team to develop new prototypes that leverage physiological information to improve entertainment and communications ecosystems. You will work closely with scientists, developers, and a data collection team to innovate and develop new technologies that enhance and optimize the human sensory experience.


 

Qualifications
 

  • Interest or experience in the study of sensory perception and application to technological development and assessment
  • Background in audio signal processing and/or image processing. 
  • Highly proficient in Python and/or Matlab.
  • Machine Learning and Statistical background.  
  • Quick and dynamic learner.
  • Strong interest in learning and researching innovative technologies.  
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.  
  • Experience working in teams and a team-oriented work ethic. 


 

Desired/Preferred Qualifications
 

  • Proficient with JavaScript, or other web-based application programming. 
  • Experience analyzing or processing physiological signals (eye-tracking, heart rate, ppg, EEG, etc) is a plus
  • Experience designing or training neural networks for video applications.
  • Familiar with computer vision algorithms and strategies. 
  • Previous experience working with TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar frameworks.


 

ELIGIBILITY
 

  • Working towards a B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field; recent grads who are within 6 months of graduation are also eligible to apply
  • Must be available to work full-time Monday – Friday for 6 months between Jan 24, 2022 – June 24. 2022. The start date for this position is Monday, January 24, 2022. Please note the start date is not flexible.
