Dolby has an amazing suite of audio, video, and voice technologies and we’re bringing them to the cloud with the self-service Dolby.io API Developer Platform. Are you excited to shape a new era for Dolby and be at the forefront of technology hitting developers hands?

 

We are seeking a talented and experienced DevOps Manager to lead a team of DevOps engineers who will have ownership and responsibility of managing the 24/7 operation of cloud infrastructure for the Dolby.io Media API Developer platform. You are a passionate leader who has embraced the Site Reliability Engineering mindset, loves to roll up the sleeves, lead by example, collaborate, and implement solutions to complex problems. You’ll be part of an engineering organization responsible for delivering a scalable, reliable, and secure cloud media processing API platform.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Lead a global team of DevOps engineers to own and manage 24/7 operation of a cloud media processing service
  • Support and lead efforts to achieve automation, quality, stability, security, and high availability goals of the systems 
  • Develop a roadmap to optimize the operations and proactively address issues together with engineering teams
  • Guide development teams in the delivery of continuous integration, continuous deployment, and automated testing and monitoring of deployments.
  • Develop, implement and manage incident management and change management procedures
  • Define processes for operations cost management and capacity planning and work with engineering to find solutions
  • Own and provide clear and timely updates and status of the service operation and reliability to key stakeholders and leadership
  • Recruit and lead a world-class DevOps team, proving guidance and mentoring to junior DevOps Engineers

 

Qualifications:

  • 8+ years professional experience in the DevOps field with a minimum of 3 years experience leading DevOps for API platforms or SaaS applications
  • Experience in deploying and operating highly scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant cloud-based applications
  • Experience with leading operational support and on-call responsibilities
  • B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Software Engineering or comparable
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Strong knowledge and experience in several of the following:

  • Automation of AWS cloud infrastructure.
  • Working with CloudFormation and other Infrastructure as code tooling
  • Development of scripts and tools in Python
  • Docker or other container technologies
  • Solid GIT repositories skills
  • Strong data analysis skills with prior experience in capacity planning and cloud operations cost optimization
  • Serverless technologies such as Lambda
  • Kubernetes
  • SOC2
  • JavaScript (Node.js)
