The team is on a mission to provide developers with the tools to build the next generation of interactive online experiences such as online music concerts and virtual social events. To achieve this, we are building a developer platform that combines industry-leading communications and ultra-low delay streaming technologies with spectacular audio/video technologies we developed for the entertainment industry. 


You will serve as a senior leader focused on building real-time communications and streaming platform-as-a-service. The ideal candidate will bring world-class product management, an understanding of the developer experience, and a demonstrated ability to anticipate the industry need necessary to maintain competitive advantage. You have experience building a developer-focused product, can think of the developer as a customer and have a solid track record running an agile product team. 


You will lead a growing team of product managers in Australia, Europe, and the US. This key leadership role will engage with customers directly and ensure their team does. In addition, you will partner closely with the engineering team and engineering and research teams across Dolby to ensure we take advantage of Dolby's wide-ranging experience in audio and video.  




You will: 

  • Own and maintain the communications product portfolio roadmap. 

  • Build and a team to define, own, and drive the development of user stories, product requirements, and related feature prioritization efforts that balance market-driven needs with longer-term strategic (market-leading) development activities.  

  • Continuously analyze the competitive landscape and recommend and implement necessary corrective actions across product requirements and strategic direction.  

  • Partner closely with key and potential customers to ensure your product portfolio meets and often exceeds market expectations. 

  • Continually collaborate with, Engineering, Business, and Marketing leadership in providing product clarity to facilitate timely delivery of commitments for new features and functionality. 

  • In partnership with and research leadership, identify market-leading opportunities for innovation and more significant product differentiation and defensibility over the long term. 

  • Maintain transparency about work-in-flight, priorities, development velocity, resource utilization, and constraints. Identify and resolve resource-related issues in consultation with Engineering and senior leadership.  

  • Develop and deliver appropriate communications, e.g., reports, memos, meetings, presentations, etc., to ensure that management is appropriately informed. 




You have: 

  • 10+ years of experience in Technology and Product Management leadership roles. 

  • Experience building developer-focused products based on APIs, SDKs, and cloud-based services.  

  • An understanding of developers and how to make a developer product that is easy to use. 

  • A demonstrated capability to develop complex technical product and solution requirements and roadmaps.  

  • The ability to establish and maintain credibility with passionate technical teams and business group stakeholders. 

  • Proven experience building a diverse technical product team through hiring, developing, and managing high performers. 

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.  



  • Experience working on networking and communication technology products. It is desirable but not necessary that the candidate understands networking protocols, the WebRTC stack, and standard audio/video codecs. 

  • An understanding of Metaverse relegated technology such as game engines and virtual and mixed reality headsets.
