We are seeking a talented software engineer to help design, build and deploy cloud-native solutions and infrastructure for intelligent A/V content processing and delivery systems. You’ll work with an outstanding team to deliver next-generation scalable, reliable and secure systems based on microservice architecture, cloud media processing pipelines, databases and CDNs. Responsibilities:

 

  • Develop a distributed and scalable cloud application (backend, frontend, containers and/or executables) used for testing other cloud-based applications.
  • Review proposed technologies, testability and test strategies.
  • Automated test framework design and execution.
  • Utilize and adapt existing test automation tools, create new test tools when required.
  • Report issues through a formal bug tracking system and work with the engineering team to help isolate, debug, and resolve issues/bugs.
  • Stay on top of current industry software testing tools and methodologies and make substantial contributions to the development and deployment of new test technologies, tools or methods.
  • Resource estimation, effort distribution, progress tracking, risk assessment, and metrics reporting.

 

Requirements:

 

  • B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science/Engineering or Electronics Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in software development.
  • Professional experience with test automation, scripting and programming in MULTIPLE modern object-oriented programming languages (e.g: C++, C#, Java, Python, JavaScript...), both dynamically and statically-typed, in order to easily pick up development on different tools.
  • Extensive experience with Linux and BASH.
  • Experience testing in multiple software environments like Windows, OS X, Linux.
  • Experience with cloud computing, both serverless and container-based architectures.
  • Experience in Agile/Scrum software development.

 

Nice to haves:

 

  • Extensive experience designing test plans.
  • Experience with multiple (non-AWS) cloud providers.
  • Excellent knowledge of and experience with current software testing industry tools and standard methodologies.
  • Familiarity with standard bug reporting tools such as Jira, Bugzilla, or ClearQuest.
  • Experience testing Dolby or similar products in the audio domain is a significant plus.
