SUMMARY
As a Software Engineer in Test Intern for the CE Technology group, you will primarily focus on testing that enables the next generation of Dolby technologies. You will help design, specify, craft, and maintain the test environment as well as design, write and execute tests in Python using the pytest framework.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Design and execute automated testing with a focus on audio and metadata verification.
• Work with senior engineers to establish product and system test plans.
• Implement and conduct cost-effective comprehensive regression and product tests to ensure product requirements are met.
• Utilize and adapt existing test automation tools.
• Report issues through a formal bug tracking system and work with the engineering team to help isolate, debug, and resolve issues/bugs.
• Setup, configure, and maintain test environments
QUALIFICATIONS
• Experience programming in programming and scripting languages such as Python, C, C++
• Experience working in various software environments such as macOS, Windows, and Linux
• CI/CD experience (gitlab/perforce)
• Experience working with various python packages such as Numpy and Scipyn is a significant plus
• Experience using software test automation frameworks such as pytest is a significant plus
• Demonstrated experience testing Dolby or similar products in the audio domain is a significant plus
• Digital Audio/ Signal Processing/ Immersive and Binaural Audio
• Unreal Engine experience
• Creating Blueprint and Metasounds is a plus

ELIGIBILITY
Working towards a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science/Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related field; recent grads who are within 6 months of
graduation are also eligible to apply. Must be available to work full-time Monday–Friday for 3 months starting from May/June 2023.

The San Francisco/Bay Area base hourly range for this internship position is $45-50 and can vary if outside of this location. Our hourly ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific hourly range and perks and benefits for your location during the hiring process.
