The Applied AI team is looking for a candidate to work on deep learning-based source separation or speech enhancement, with a focus on self-supervised approaches, including designing novel upstream speech representations as well as the downstream models. 



  • Work with researchers to implement novel deep learning algorithms for source separation or speech enhancement.
  • Extensive literature reading, creative thinking, hands-on development, result analysis and paper writing.


  • Candidates working towards a Ph.D degree in the field of speech/audio deep learning.
  • Strong hands-on experience with self-supervised learning algorithms, such as wav2vec, HuBERT, etc.
  • Experience with deep learning-based source separation, speech enhancement, or other related tasks. 
  • Strong hands-on capability with deep learning tools, such as Pytorch.
  • Strong team player, with good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Tracking record of publications in deep learning top conferences/journals is a big plus.
