The Legal Department provides core legal support to all Dolby functions, runs several IP-centric businesses, and leads government relations.

 

SUMMARY 

The Strategic Business Operations Team (SBO) at Dolby is looking for a Summer Intern to work in an impactful, collaborative work environment. The intern will help drive business initiatives critical to the ongoing growth of the team and be responsible for developing a deep understanding of Dolby business model and internal processes. 

  

RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Process diverse sets of information to provide summary-level insights and recommendations 

  • Improve the quality and consistency of data and data management 

  • Help identify opportunities for systems and processes for efficiency and effectiveness 

  • Problem solving and providing business insights and recommendations 

  • Assist in re-designing Vendor Management platform’s analytical functionality 

  • Assist in process related to Patent Analysis and Budget & Financial Analysis 

  • Knowledge management 

  • Take ownership over projects 

  • Provide operational support to the department 

  

QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite (in particular Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills) 

  • Demonstrate interest in learning new software/programming 

  • Salesforce experience is a plus 

  • Good communication skills 

  • Must be able to work remotely

ELIGIBILITY 

Working towards a Bachelor’s degree in Business Operations, Business Management, or a related field; recent grads who are within 6 months of graduation are also eligible to apply. Must be available to work full-time Monday–Friday for 3 months starting from May/June 2023. 

 

Start date for the internship is as follows: (*note* this date is not flexible) 

  • Monday, May 22, 2023 

  • Monday, June 5, 2023 

  • Monday, June 19, 2023 

 

The San Francisco/Bay Area base hourly range for this internship position is $28 - $33 depending on education level and can vary if outside of this location. Our hourly ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific hourly range and perks and benefits for your location during the hiring process.
