Technologist – Ecosystem Health



Part of a team of technical experts who provide strategical input to CEG product teams, architects, product managers, and support teams to drive improvement of ecosystem health and interoperability of Dolby enabled consumer products. Helps build a product-centric perspective within the team. Assists in direct interaction with Dolby's industry partners and customers. Helps to build a better understanding of Dolby’s ecosystems through data analytics. The work will cover both Dolby Audio as well as Dolby Vision technology, helping to coordinate and communicate between both sides.



  • Support the creation of ecosystem health-related content that helps guide Dolby's consumer product business strategy and development operation
  • Help drives data analysis to help evaluate performance and identify potential hotspots in Dolby's technology ecosystem. Compile and share critical information with key decision-makers.
  • Participate in the creation and maintenance of workflows and processes that foster product fitness for purpose (& quality)
  • Provide hands-on support to Dolby's product development teams in guiding them through ecosystem-health focused workflows
  • Support the creation of development best-practices with engineering and other internal stakeholders
  • Support shared standards/engineering tasks (such as device testing, stream creation, small-scale project management, etc)



  • Background in Engineering, Computer science, Data Science, Technical Management, or similar.
  • Experience in Data Analysis, and analytical skills for interpretation of data
  • Experience in Data Visualization e.g., Tableau, Gephi, D3, etc.
  • Basic knowledge of statistical techniques and concepts, machine learning techniques to manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets.
  • Adaptability, creativity, curiosity, and a drive to learn and master new technologies and techniques.
  • Experience in Process Design and Validation, Project Management.
  • Good communication skills and ability to communicate complex issues to people of different skill sets.
  • Good collaboration skills and ability to effectively contribute to interdisciplinary teams.
  • Basic experience with some common programming languages and related tools e.g., JavaScript, Python, MATLAB, R, SQL, etc.
  • Basic experience with using web services e.g., AWS, etc.


Interest in consumer electronics, media services, AV-content creation
