Overall:

  • Reporting to Dolby’s Korea office’s Country Manager of Commercial Partnership Team.
  • Finding new business opportunity using new Dolby products and/or Dolby’s new technology by:
    • Understanding and identifying customer’s demand needs, scoping out, evaluating and planning the mid-term and long-term new opportunities;
    • Mainly supporting new Business Development such as Content Distribution (OTT, IPTV), Atmos Music, Automotive, Gaming and Cloud initiatives in the future.
  • Also supporting new sales initiatives for two strategic accounts in Korea, Samsung and LG.

 

Essential Job function:

  • Understand customers’ needs, demands and the relevant market situation, trends and identifying technical requirement, resource to come up with 
  • Acquire and maintain up to date Dolby’s new technology, products by proactively interacting Dolby’s engineering team, research team to find any possibility to productize them.
  • Leading and making successful new projects where client Managing adopt new Dolby technology and/solution by managing, scoping level of work efficiently.
  • Working with Korea Commercial Partnership sales teams to create new opportunities and to realize technical opportunity into business opportunity.
  • Understanding whole value chain on Dolby ecosystem from contents creation, distribution, service and playback device to get scattered dots connected at front end.
  • Working with Dolby HQ’s product manager team, engineering team to come up with new solution and new products to meet strategic accounts demands, requirements and eventually to be successful and sustainable in business. 
  • Planning, showing a variety of demonstration of Dolby’s new technology to create and find new areas, products so that clients can keep stick to Dolby’s ecosystem.
  • To build strong relationship with customers’ research and development division to partnering them with head quarter’s stakeholders.    
  • If necessary, present existing Dolby technologies to industry, media and press by working with regional marketing team or head quarter’s steering team.
  • Understand the roadmaps and desires of key customers in Korea and effectively communicate regional priorities and schedule targets to the engineering and support teams.

 

Education, Skills, Abilities, and Experience Required: 

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical engineering, business management with marketing background, or equivalent relevant field.
  • Having a great communication skillset and multi-tasking ability with logical thinking.
  • Client facing role experience and skill are required.
  • Open minded Fast Learner of new trend and skill for Dolby future initiatives such as Content Distribution (OTT, IPTV), Atmos Music, Automotive, Gaming and Cloud.
  • One who not only understands digital audio and video works for consumers experience but also has passion on how the consumer experience can be improved in the future.
  • An Engineer or Product Planning professional who understands how products in digital domain are planned, designed, developed, tested and released.
  • One who has experienced product planning managers or project managers with deep technical knowledge of how actually it works for new business development.
  • In case of Engineer background, technical sales support experience is required. And Engineer background who has experience on developing, planning and testing/verification on digital media SW or HW is preferred.
