Summary Description:

The IT Lab Analyst role is responsible for supporting the Dolby business in the Asia Pacific region from our Shenzhen office location. This is a hands-on role with a focus on translating business requirements into well maintained and supported solutions. It is a wide-ranging role that will require you to be able to provide insight and understanding across all areas of IT, and more specifically within the network, compute and storage verticals. A role such as this will allow you to gain valuable experience working directly with our engineers upon Dolby products with the expectation that you will provide a knowledgeable and positive mindset to ensure that the business can get the job done.


As the IT Lab Analyst, you are at the fore front of helping our product teams to develop and create new technology innovations. Here you will be assisting to build the bridge between technical requirements and enabling business groups to focus on product development.


Your role is to help develop a technical roadmap that enables the business to focus on product engineering knowing that infrastructure and technical rooms are operating smoothly.



Essential Job Functions:

  • Ensure to exhibit strong end-to-end troubleshooting skills for system, network or applications.
  • Provide support to Linux/ Windows Server 2012, 2016, and supporting AD infrastructure.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues.
  • Research and identify solutions to software and hardware issues.
  • Technical liaison between engineers, IT operations teams and architects, to provide solutions to business groups that conform to IT standards.
  • Maintain and develop documentation of solutions, in the form of knowledge base articles and ticket updates.
  • Provides business support that meets our service delivery according to service level commitments, corporate policy, corporate standards, and compliance requirements including:
    • Service Request Fulfillment
    • Incident Management
    • Problem Management
    • Access Management
    • Change Management
  • Meets or beats service level commitments as defined by management team.
    • Maintains infrastructure services on a day-to-day basis. Assists in maintenance of 99%+ up-time for Infrastructure systems
    • Good understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives 
  • Maintains a good level of customer satisfaction.



Job Expectations:

  • Act as central point of contact for engineering and lab related issues and manage the engineering relationship from a technical support perspective. Communicate technical issues to both engineering and IT users.
  • Understand the engineering technical environment, through regular communication and reviews; develop a support plan that recognizes the priorities, challenges, initiatives and potential areas for improvement.
  • Share knowledge of technical issues faced and problem resolutions to both engineering and IT teams.



Education, Skills, Abilities, and Experience Required:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience within a similar role.
  • Good oral and written English communication skills.
  • Solid knowledge of Network Administrator LAN, WAN, wireless, and remote access.
  • Knowledge of basic Server and Desktop computer hardware, networks, firewalls and switch configuration, OS including Windows, Linux and Mac OS, Virtualization VMware vSphere.
  • Willingness to learn and expand knowledge.
  • Demonstrated self-motivation and the ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
  • Ability to perform occasional work during odd hours or weekends as required.
  • Relevant IT Certification – nice to have. (EG CCNA, ITIL, MCSA).
